Butterfly Garden

Pack 350 began work on the Butterfly Garden at Haskins Elementary in June 2008.  The garden was beautiful when it was first planted years ago but it had fallen into disrepair after years of neglect.  The school asked the Cub Scouts if we would want to take charge of the garden and renovate it.

Day 2 - July 27, 2008

With plenty of plants from the nursery and lots of mulch from the playground everyone got to work to get the garden done.  We had some boys digging holes and other boys shoveling mulch into wheelbarrows and hauling it over to the garden.  Everyone worked as a team.  The parents worked very hard too - thanks for your help!

Once everything was planting and covered with mulch everyone got to take turns watering the plants.  Afterwards we hit Buzzy's for some well deserved ice cream.  Despite the heat and hard work, it was a good job by all and it's so nice to see the garden restored.
